Link is the main character and hero of The Legend of Zelda series and the holder of the Triforce of Courage. Link is a warrior from Hyrule that over many generations has saved the Kingdom of Hyrule and Princess Zelda from the evil Ganondorf as well as several other incarnations of Demise's wrath.

In Smash Bros., his main weapon is the Master Sword, a mighty blade imbued with the ability to vanquish evil. Link carries many other weapons as well and thus is a very versatile fighter. He uses bombs, as well as the Hero's Bow, Gale Boomerang, and Clawshot to damage opponents from a distance. All these items give Link great spacing options while fighting.
