The Villager is the character avatar you use in the
Animal Crossing series, in which you live as a human in a town full of kind,
anthropomorphic animals. You go around your town digging up fossils, fishing, catching bugs, and selling or buying items using the town's currency, "bells." The Animal Crossing series has been around for some time, debuting on the
Nintendo 64 in Japan before releasing other games on the GameCube, DS, Wii, and 3DS.
The Villager is a newcomer in Smash Bros., bringing in some of the Animal Crossing charm. He may have a
cutesy look, but he's a powerhouse in battle. He uses his signature move
Pocket to
grab and store any
items or projectiles he comes across to
reuse them at any time.
